How to tell which Wrangler you have
JK and JKU are 2007 to 2018, with round headlights set into a flat grille and a fold-down windshield with exposed hinges. JL and JLU are 2018 onward, with headlights that cut into the grille slots and a keyless start on most trims. The 4xe badge sits on the hood and the tailgate, and there is a charge port on the driver's front fender. If 2018 is your year, check the VIN, because both generations were sold that year.

How to check for the subwoofer.
Look in the driver-side rear corner of the cargo area. If there is a large mesh-covered box built into the trim, you have the Alpine subwoofer and you need the subwoofer version.
